I've been bestowed "Best Mom Ever" status

Sick day. Waiting on a doctor's call back. Drove the kid into my office so that we can see the doctor if needed. We pass a Taco Bell. Please please please mom. Please! The new Taco Bell Breakfast marketing must have been directed to males age 12. I did a U-Turn and took him. The Waffle Taco.
Waffle "shell". Sausage lining the waffle.  Eggs, then cheese on top.
Selfies are required before tasting it.

Book Review: How to Slowly Kill Yourself and Others in America

How to Slowly Kill Yourself and Others in AmericaHow to Slowly Kill Yourself and Others in America by Kiese Laymon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a book to buy, re-read, highlight and sit back and THINK after reading. Seriously. Read it. It was a coincidence that I picked this up last night from my "to read" stack and finished it on MLK day. Kiese Laymon is a new author for me, but I'll be reading everything he writes now.

Book Review - Blind Faith

Blind Faith: Miraculous Journey of Lula Hardaway, Stevie Wonder's MotherBlind Faith: Miraculous Journey of Lula Hardaway, Stevie Wonder's Mother by Dennis Love
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I thought this was an easy to read biography of Stevie Wonder that takes the angle of his mom and her background, too. I'd like to have seen some more concrete examples of his civil rights work and also more about if he's been an inspiration to others.

Book Review - Our Red Hot Romance is Leaving Me Blue

Our Red Hot Romance Is Leaving Me Blue (Domestic Equalizers)Our Red Hot Romance Is Leaving Me Blue by Dixie Cash
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

First of all, I have no idea how this book made it into my "to read" list.
Second, the title of this book has nothing to do with the book's content.
Cartoonish characters, but they were kind of charming nonetheless.
This is one of those books I read and it's kind of like eating Doritos or Oreos. Not particularly satisfying, not enriching, but one in a while, some junk food (reading) is okay.
