Day 8 on the Carnival Breeze

Saturday, January 12, 2012  Sea Day
Last day on the cruise - morning of homework

Carnival Breeze stateroom 11235
After 11 hours of sound sleeping, I woke up.  Rodd was reading on our balcony and E started  homework. We had breakfast burritos at Blue Iguana--one last delicious time--then Rodd and I spent the morning at Serenity Deck.  Bloody Marys and Mojitos, sun, reading and snoozing.

Then one last lunch at Guy's Burger Joint.

Then, time for some afternoon drinks on the Lido Deck.

We tried out some more trivia at the Ocean Plaza.

And that meant more cocktails.

Liquid Nightclub (in the daytime)

Mid-afternoon, time for what the kids had been practicing for all week:  Camp Carnival Talent Show!

E did a rap - he did great!

The little kids had prepared a group song for us. Adorable!

The big kids had practiced dancing for us.

 And then, a family dance:

We were warmed up, so we went back to the Ocean Plaza and took a Thriller Dance Class, taught by Amy (aka 6-3), the assistant cruise director.

With the talent show, then dance class -- E was inspired! So we went to karaoke and he sang. He did a GREAT job.

At night, after packing up, we watched NFL at the Lido deck.

Day 7 on the Carnival Breeze

Friday, Jan 11, 2013  Sea Day
We started our day with breakfast at the Punchliner Comedy Brunch at Sapphire dining room.
E left us for Camp Carnival fun.  Rodd and I enjoyed the morning, first at Atrium Lounge's bloody mary bar, and then for more, more, more bloody marys (for me) at Serenity Deck.  Rodd had mojitos.

Later we headed down to the Lido Deck.
Miami Vice - half strawberry daquiri, half pina colada

Ice sculpture

Then we went to Tandoor for Indian food.  This is back by the Aft Pool and no extra charge. Very good -- just like any Indian restaurant at home.

Rodd and I went to the Love Show -- three couples on stage - newlyweds, a couple married 25 years and one married something like 50 years.  (Sorry, it had been a lot of drinks at this point. I don't remember details.)
Ovation Theater

Love Show

Next:  Drinks at the Library Bar.

   Then, time for a nap!

Later, we peeked in on the Ovation Theater.  E was there with Camp Carnival.  They watched the show "The Brits."
Of course E and his friends had not missed out on the Miss Carnival Pageant at the pool!  11-year-olds like to see women in thongs...learned that, too.

It was an Elegant Night, but nothing on the menu seemed interesting to us, so E hung out with his friends, and  Rodd and I went to the Cloud 9 spa.  We were the ONLY people there!  Here are photos of the Cloud 9 relaxation room.

Ethan used his Christmas carnival gift certificate from Grandma and Grandpa to go to the late-night Camp Carnival beach party.
We enjoyed some time at Piano Bar. Always fun!

Rodd and I went to Divas at Ovation Theater.  Excellent singing.

Dinner at the pizza place.
